* Represented Orissa in Senior National Championships from 1978 to 1980 after joining Steel Authority of India (SAIL) in Rourkela.

* Represented Indian Railways at the National Championships for four years from 1974 to 1977, winning four gold medals.

* Represented Services at the National Championships without break from 1966 to 1973.

Represented India in three World Cups and one Olympic Games.

* He was also part of the Indian team at the 1974 Tehran Asian Games.

* Helped India win bronze medal in 1972 Munich Olympic Games. Scored one goal each against Great Britain, Mexico and New Zealand.

* Helped India win bronze medal in 1971 Barcelona World Cup.
